Money touches nearly every part of our lives.
Money touches nearly every part of our lives.
It can shape how we feel about safety, freedom, worthiness, generosity, stability, power, possibility, and care. It can bring relief, fear, tension, grief, hope, shame, responsibility, joy, and choice.
And yet, so many of folks were never invited into thoughtful, honest conversations about money.
Instead, many inherited silence. Survival patterns. Scarcity narratives. Harmful beliefs. Confusion. Pressure. Individualism. Contradictions.
Money Work is an invitation to do something different.
This is not a traditional personal finance program. It's not a finance program at all.
This is not about hustle culture, quick fixes, or surface-level budgeting tips.
This is a live cohort experience where we explore money through the lens of values, power, community, repair, wealth redistribution, collective care, and personal practice.
Why Money Work?
Because money is not just practical. It is emotional. Relational. Political. Systemic.
Because many of folks carry money stories that are rooted in systems of oppression.
Because many folks have been taught to hoard, fear, avoid, worship, resent, overspend, or stay silent.
Because many people want to live differently with money, but don’t know where to begin.
Because liberation asks us to examine how money moves through our lives and communities.

actively dismantle systems of oppression and center Black liberation through wealth redistribution.
This program offers white people an opportunity to learn and develop a practice of wealth redistribution. This learning experience is designed to support white people in diving deep to develop actionable and sustainable practices
move beyond guilt and inaction and towards tangible actions That center economic repair in the Black community
While many white people acknowledge the harmful impacts of systemic racism and economic inequity, however, many struggle to identify & commit to sustainable and effective practices that benefit Black people. At the core of liberation work is economic repair for the Black community and because as a collective, white supremacy and capitalism have permitted white people to exploit and benefit from the exploitation of Black labor—thus, this program calls you to acknowledge this beyond words and with actions that benefit the Black community. It is critical to work towards repair beyond performative gestures, but instead through wealth redistribution. This program offers guidance in divesting and dismantling systems of oppression while being building a practice of wealth redistribution.

There is power in learning together.
There is power in practicing something new in community.

What Participants Are Saying
Real experiences from people who have done this work.
Your work has allowed me to engage more fully in this work and just see the world and money as a concept differently. I give more because I no longer feel entitled to the money. I can give time because I recognize the value of community. I judge less, and I now realize I speak with less judgment. All of this because of what I learned from you.

Monique pairs historical context, political education, and somatic work to support education and accountability. She has helped me understand what praxis feels like. This work must be embodied. Monique's facilitation is an incredible example of loving accountability — I feel called in, but never shamed. We work together to figure out which strands to pull on in order to support growth, accountability, and ultimately, Black liberation.

This course pushed me to face my white privilege and refocus my efforts on supporting the Black community through accountable wealth redistribution. It taught me to have honest conversations about resources and to see wealth as a communal resource. Since taking this class, I have moved toward practices that lift the whole community. This class is hard work but important work, and it gives you hope. Monique gives you hope.

Learning from Monique is a unique class experience with an abundance of resources and ways to get connected to a community focused on Black liberation and wealth redistribution. She provides a safe and welcoming space to engage in discussions and exercises to introspect on how white supremacy has permeated individual and societal development, and how we can dream of and be part of a better world for all. I would recommend her classes to anyone looking to truly do the work.
